Who

Psychodrama training is relevant for people wanting to enliven themselves, their personal relationships and their professional functioning. Psychodrama method can be applied in various contexts including mental health, educational, organisational and community settings.

Taking both a relational and systemic approach and underpinned by the theory and practice of psychodrama, the training will expand your capacity to live and work in the present moment by being more alive to your own and others’ experience.

The training will assist people interested in working with others in innovative and creative ways, with increased liveliness and from multiple perspectives.

The Training

This training series requires a commitment to attend all seven workshops. The training involves experiential learning of psychodrama through exposure to a recursive curriculum. This covers Moreno’s role theory, sociometry and social systems including family systems, spontaneity theory – living and working in the present moment, psychodrama production and group work.

Each workshop has a particular focus which relates both to the curriculum and the needs and development of trainees in the training group. Workshops will include supervised practice and use role theory and psychodrama method to understand, develop and map the range of functioning each of us has in relation to family, those we work with and  other social systems.

Trainees will deepen their understanding of psychodrama, expand their role repertoire and capacity for spontaneity, and experience the potential of the psychodrama method.

The aim is to increase trainees’ capacity to create and maintain co-operative, authentic relationships and an enhanced sense of purpose, through learning about and participation in psychodramatic enactment and group work.
