Canbera Spontaneity Training Long Weekend Workshop
17 - 19 June 2022  Friday 9:30am - 5pm,   Saturday  9.30am – 5pm, Sunday 9.30am -5pm
This training workshop will  focus on developing participants’ spontaneity through play.
Life presents each of us with many challenges. The capacity to respond in the moment with a new response to an old situation or an adequate response in a new situation requires spontaneity. Effective group leaders and members of a group have variety of forms of spontaneity including, novelty, adequacy, originality, vitality, creativity.
Dr J.L Moreno says that spontaneity is trainable and recommends that the Psychodrama Director is the most spontaneous person in the room.
We will focus on many factors that assist abilities to be active whilst running a  group. We will also deal with difficulties that stop a person from warming up  in the moment.
The psychodrama method assists participants to increase their spontaneity and creativity through active participation. This participation includes group work, enactment and theoretical mini lectures. The program will assist in developing leadership and will lead to increasing abilities in relating to others.
This program is designed for responsible people who are involved in health, theatre, management, leadership, consultancies, coaching, mentoring, education, supervision, art, writing, teaching, human potential and creative therapies. Supervised practice for advanced psychodrama trainees is also an aspect of this program.
The learning of new skills may be emotionally challenging and participants are required to have abilities to sustain their life and are participating in areas such as studies, employment and social and creative activities. This includes a willingness to seek assistance when needed.
New participants should arrange a face to face or phone interview to connect, to determine the suitability of this course and for discussion regarding the training contract. The course will consist of enactment, group participation and discussion. Participants are expected to be actively involved.
A certificate of attendance will be given on request and may be used for points towards required professional development and psychodrama certification. The training hours are recognised by AANZPA and can lead to certification as a psychodramatist, sociodramatist, role trainer or sociometrist.
